 Background: 

Caribbean Vulnerable Communities Coalition (CVC) is seeking an experienced evaluation consultant to conduct a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of the “Empowering CSOs to Implement Rights and Gender Based Projects to Prevent VAW/ GBV and the Intersection with STI Including HIV/AIDS” project funded by UN Women.

The evaluation should measure the implementation and results of activities and outputs as it relates to the project goals and objectives. The evaluation should include the assessment of CSO participants, key informants and other stakeholders from Jamaica, the Bahamas and Belize who were integral to the project activities and outcomes. 

 

Required Competencies:

• A Master’s Degree in Public Health, Public Sector Management, Development Studies or related Social Science field

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in conducting project assessment and evaluations, with strong experience in data collection and the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data

  • Specific and demonstrable experience in:

    1. Developing data collection tools

    2. Monitoring and evaluation reporting

    3. Value for money analysis

    4. Conducting analysis of policies and programmes around human rights and

      Development

    5. Analysing the effectiveness of information, education and communication

      (IEC) materials,

    6. In-depth knowledge of structural drivers that increase LGBT people’s

      vulnerability

    7. In-depth knowledge of gender issues, especially gender based violence and

      violence against women

    8. In-depth understanding of the intersectionalities of GBV/VAW and HIV.

    9. Creative and effective data presentation

  • A strong commitment to delivering timely and high-quality results and comprehensive reporting

  • Experience with key population, including and especially populations vulnerable to GBV and HIV including LGBT people

  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate with various stakeholders and to express concisely and clearly ideas and concepts.
